Scilabscript to simulate the linearised approximate PLL operation and plot output data from the simulation. The output from scicos PLL simulation is a plain text file with first column as time and the next as the output voltage.
The voltage controlled oscillator in the above PLL exercise uses Colpitts oscillator. A short introductory note explains the fundamental principles of oscillators and Colpitts oscillator in particular, describes how to set values for capacitors, etc., and it also explains and derives the necessary formulae. It uses a maplescript to do the analysis.
