सरलीकरोति (Makes it Easy)
२००७-०७-१४ शनिवासरः (2007-07-14 Saturday)
मया श्रीसदानन्दवर्यः पृष्टः - सरलीकरोति इति कथं भवति।
सः प्रत्यावदत् - सरलीकरोति This may be termed as denominative नामधातुः। Denominative verbs are derived from nouns through affixation. Some of the examples of denominative verbs in English would include expressions like 创to chicken out创, 创vaporize创, to table a motion创, 创 to Americanize创, etc. Here the basic element is a noun, which has been pressed into extended service as a verb. In Sanskrit there are various different kinds of denominative verbs. Some examples are: पुत्रीयति कृष्णायते पण्डितायते गरुडायते लोहितायते नमस्यति-नमस्यते इत्यादिनि।
The following type is strictly speaking not a denomintive verb, but a type of compunding with a verb. However, since it is functionally related, it may be called so.
शुक्लीकरोति गंगीकरोति लघूकरोति लघूभवति गंगीभवति अंगीकरोति पर्वतीकरोति स्वर्गीभवति इत्यादिनि अनेकानि उदाहराणि भवन्ति॥
I hope it is clear to you.
संप्रत्यत्र रात्रौ सपादैकवादनम्। शयनार्थं गन्तुकामोऽस्मि। तावत् शुभमस्तु।
