धनर्णव्यवकलने (Subtracting positive and negative terms)

धनर्णव्यवकलने सूत्रमार्यार्धम् -

स्वमृणत्वमृणं स्वत्वं शोधकराशेः समुक्तवद्योगः।

Positive and negative term subtraction half of the sutra (in Aarya metre) -

In the number to be subtracted (शोधकराशेः) positive becomes negative (स्वमृणत्वम्) and negative becomes positive (ऋणं स्वत्वम्) then add according to the previously stated method (समुक्तवद्योगः ).
