धनर्णषड् विधम - ७-८ (Addition and Subtraction 7-8)

रूपाणामव्यक्तानां नामाद्यक्षराणि लेख्यानि।

उपलक्षणाय तेषामृणगानामूर्ध्वबिन्दूनि॥७॥

Of the unknown quantity, the first letter should be written to indicate it and in that the negative ones should be marked with a dot on it.

योगे धनयोः क्षययोर्योगः स्यात् स्वर्णयोर्भवेद् विवरम्।

अधिकादूनमपास्य च शेषं तद्भावमुपयाति॥८॥
