Quantum Electronics Research Group
The Quantum Electronics Group in the School of IT&EE comprises two academics, one full-time research assistant, two full-time postgraduate students as well as an average of three fourth-year students per year. The Quantum Electronics Group has two main research themes:
- The development of novel Chaotic Semiconductor Laser systems for secure communications
- The development of robust Quantum Information Technologies with a particular focus on Quantum Computer Technologies
The research program is underpinned by funding from the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computer Technology and maintains active collaborative research links within UNSW as well as the University of Queensland , Macquarie University , the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg, Griffith University, the Australian National University and the Defence Science and Technology Organisation.
