The School of Electrical Engineering at the University College is well recognised for its teaching and research activities. It is composed of a team of academic staff specialising in many of the sub-disciplines found in Electrical Engineering including satellite imaging, image processing, antenna theory, power electronics, digital electronics, control theory, dynamics and robotics, secure communications, adaptive antenna array processing, digital signal processing, image coding and transmission, flat panel display technology, electronic materials deposited in thin layers and laser applications.

Two well equipped, general purpose teaching laboratories are available in the School, along with the following specialist laboratories:
